Phone Activation

Categories

If you ordered phone/SIM via the Personal Page, your service provider is T-Mobile. We highly recommend you use the Smart Pack plan, as it will be expensive to use your phone without it. Follow the instructions below to activate Smart Pack.

If you ordered a phone, the SIM has already. If you ordered a SIM card only, insert the SIM into your unlocked mobile phone.

1. Text SMART and the value of your pack to 441. For Blackberry, do the same but text BBPACK and the value of the pack to the same number. So for example SMART25 to 441 or BBPACK25 to 441.

2. The Smart Pack is for 30 days from the day you activate the service; if you have enough credit left, the pack will renew itself at the end of the 30 days. If you do not have enough unused credit you will need to top up (add credit to) your phone.

3. See the table below for available Smart Packs. Note that text/minutes are to other UK numbers only.

 4. To add international service, text INT to 441. It will cost £5. Calls to USA/Canada will cost 5 pence/minute to landlines and mobile numbers, texts are 18pence each. Calls/texts will be deducted from the £5 bucket.

5. To check your balance text BA to 150; to check your allowance text AL to 150.

If your purchased more credit than you want this month, use the remaining credit later by following Step 1 again. Most UK phone companies do not accept foreign debit or credit cards. You will have to top up in person; you can do so at any EE store or shop such as Sainsbury, Tesco or Boots or anywhere with a green top up logo.
