Festival culture finds its heart and soul in the English summertime. Grab some fringed clothing, an old band shirt and a beat-up pair of Wellies and no one will be able to tell the difference between you and Kate Moss circa 2005. Most of our festivals start in the summertime, but if you plan on travelling before school kicks off again in the fall, do try to check out some of these must see concerts while they are still at your doorstep.
June 13 – 15
A heavier crowd, think metal t-shirts, outrageous hair and lots of black clothing. The line up includes: Aerosmith, Fall Out Boy, Status Quo, Linkin Park and more.
June 7 – 8
Here’s your classic indie crowd. Expect green grass, cut of shorts and occasional celebs like It Girl Alexa Chung. Pop and rock, music includes the Pixies, The Horrors, Temples, Danny Brown and more.
Until July 20
Forget Glastonbury, tickets have been sold out for ages anyways. Add this holy grail of festivals to your bucket list for a down to earth experience that includes attention to literature, theatre and poetry. Our personal favourite line up: Two Door Cinema Club, The Black Keys, Haim, Lykke Li, Bombay Bicycle Club, Agnes Obel + more.
*Note: Includes magically coloured sheep.
But what do I wear to these festivals?
